Joshua Trees (Joshua Tree Natl Park)

After driving nearly all the way through the park, I finally came upon the Joshua Trees.  They are beautiful and there are a million of them.  I enjoyed my day among these beautiful, unique trees.

A little Joshua Tree info:  According to legend, Mormon pioneers considered the limbs of the Joshua trees to resemble the upstretched arms of Joshua leading them to the Promised Land.  Early explorer John Fremont described them as “…the most repulsive tree in the vegetable Kingdom.”    I don't find them repulsive at all; in fact, they are quite beautiful.  But, of course, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
